On November 12, 2020, John Deere announced its acquisition of Harvest Profit. Based in Fargo, North Dakota, Harvest Profit provides growers with software that allows them to measure profitability across their whole operation, field by field. Not only can they dial in on a specific farm, users can also use the tools to forecast economic decisions to improve their bottom line.
"Harvest Profit software helps farmers forecast and measure profitability on a field-by-field basis," said Lane Arthur, Vice President, Data, Application, and Analytics at John Deere. "This software will provide John Deere customers with a forward-looking financial lens, better visibility into their farms' profitability, and insights to help them make the best possible decisions managing their operations."
John Deere has maintained a goal of providing its customers with cutting-edge technology that allows them to manage their entire operation, in a simple and easy-to-use tool. Harvest Profit's tools will be available through the John Deere Operations Center, which means growers already utilizing their MyJohnDeere account will have a simple starting process.
